Lang Lang, a renowned Chinese pianist, has been hailed as the piano superstar and the world's most famous classical pianist. The New York Times has heralded him as “the hottest artist on the classical music planet,” while Die Welt has praised him the most successful pianist in today’s the world. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, Lang Lang is also the recipient of honorary doctorates from prestigious institutions worldwide, including an Honorary Fellowship from St Peter's College, Oxford University, and honorary doctorates from the Royal College of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and the Central Conservatory of Music.

Lang Lang is the first Chinese pianist to have long-term collaborations with all the world’s top orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic, and the Big Five orchestras. In 2013, he was appointed as a United Nations Messenger of Peace by the UN Secretary-General. He has also opened his own music schools, Lang Lang Music World Shenzhen in 2012 and Lang Lang Art World in Hangzhou in 2018. Also in the same year of 2008, he founded the Lang Lang International Music Foundation in New York, and over a decade, his goodwill is well-known worldwide. In 2018, the Beijing Lang Lang Arts Foundation was established in China, providing thousands of children with the opportunity to learn music and spreading love through music.
