Lang Lang, a renowned Chinese pianist, has been hailed as the piano superstar and the world's most famous classical pianist. The New York Times has heralded him as “the hottest artist on the classical music planet,” while Die Welt has praised him the most successful pianist in today’s the world. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, Lang Lang is also the recipient of honorary doctorates from prestigious institutions worldwide, including an Honorary Fellowship from St Peter's College, Oxford University, and honorary doctorates from the Royal College of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and the Central Conservatory of Music.

Lang Lang is the first Chinese pianist to have long-term collaborations with all the world’s top orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic, and the Big Five orchestras. He has performed solo recitals in every major concert hall and has collaborated with all leading orchestras for music seasons and opening celebrations, achieving a “Grand Slam” in the classical music world. He has performed four times at the Grammy Awards and six times on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. He has played at significant events such as the opening concert of the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the 2008 Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony, the 2014 UN Day Concert, and the Nobel Prize Award Ceremonies in 2007 and 2009. Lang Lang has been honored with titles such as Grammy Ambassador to China, Ambassador of Versailles, Expo 2010 Shanghai Ambassador, New York City’s first Cultural Tourism Ambassador, and 2022 Winter Olympics Cultural Ambassador, making classical music a sensation on the international music scene.

After receiving numerous prestigious professional awards worldwide, Lang Lang remains dedicated to using music to convey love globally and is deeply involved in education and charity work. In 2013, he was appointed as a United Nations Messenger of Peace by the UN Secretary-General. He has also opened his own music schools, Lang Lang Music World Shenzhen in 2012 and Lang Lang Art World in Hangzhou in 2018. Also in the same year of 2008, he founded the Lang Lang International Music Foundation in New York, and over a decade, his goodwill is well-known worldwide. In 2018, the Beijing Lang Lang Arts Foundation was established in China, providing thousands of children with the opportunity to learn music and spreading love through music.
